With all of the wildfires raging throughout the state, it might be a good time to check in with your insurance agent and be sure that the coverages for your home, condo or apartment are adequate. Following the tragic wildfires in Napa and Sonoma last fall, I checked in with a few clients and friends to see how often homeowners check in with their agents to review their coverages. Not very often. A recent New York Times article highlights issues that homeowners are facing in the aftermath of the fires. Many people have lost their homes, their neighborhoods and sense of community. Hopefully their insurance policies are adequate and can cover the costs of rebuilding.
In this video, Jude Winterhalter of Jackson Square Insurance talks about how to determine if you have adequate coverage for your home and property. He also discusses likely impacts to all of our insurance policies and costs (even if we live far from the North Bay). Feel free to reach out to him email@example.com if you have questions.
