Creekside Fridays is a really fun event, and Stacey and I are pleased to sponsor two weeks of this event this year: Friday June 24th and Friday July 29th from 6:30 to 8 PM at the Tam Valley Log Cabin at 60 Tennessee Valley Road. It’s a great event and a terrific way to start the weekend–and for those coming from the city, it is likely a great way to escape the cold and fog. Bring a blanket to sit on, a picnic and a bottle of wine, or feel free to purchase BBQ dinner there (it varies by week, sold and served by volunteers). There is often a jumpy house for kids to play. It’s fun.
The music is varied–rfrom ock and roll to blue grass to big band. Most are local Marin Bands. Stay tuned for the musical line up for the nights we are sponsoring.
For those of you who live in the neighborhood, you know how great this event is, and you know that this beautiful place is filled with a lot of terrific people hanging out, visiting with old friends and meeting new ones. For those of you who have never been here, imagine this place filled with a few hundred fun people, an amazing band, smells of great food cooking, laughter, dancing, dogs, kids playing. Envision a Friday evening in the summer, with less fog, escape from the city! I started attending a few years ago at Stacey’s invitation and would invite a few friends from the city and head up. I often run into friends that I know, and friends that I bring also see friends. There is limited parking available nearby. Hope to see you there.
